THE WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED
AIMS
The workshop will enable the exchange of ideas on visualisation
and user interfaces in the database and information retrieval communities,
and facilitate closer cooperation between human computer interaction and large
information systems researchers. Presentation of prototypes and discussion of
their usability, design, and design principles and rules governing cognition
will be the focus.
EXAMPLE
TOPICS
- Visualisation and
interfaces for e-Science, digital libraries, and large repositories of
heterogeneous data
- Functionality and
ease of use in large-scale data scenarios
- User studies in
information access
- Information and
perception
- Cognition models
for large information spaces
- Database support
for visualisation (indexing, query processing for visualisation)
- Data integration
for visualisation
- Visualisation
and image databases
- Visualisation
of ontologies, trees, and graph data sets
